[edit] DHCP not working with Linksys routers

There are several know issues with Linksys issues and DHCP, primarily with the Linksys WRT54G wireless router. The router seems to re-use ip addresses, sometimes assigning the same ip to seperate computers requesting ip's through DHCP.

If you are having problems connecting The Redpost kit to a wireless network that includes this router, the easist, and in some cases the only way to connect it to use the proper static IP address.

Note this thread from a Cisco(Linksys parent company) employee.

"confirmed my worst suspicions. I have nothing but trouble getting DHCP to
work over wireless, to the point where I hardwire as many devices as I
  can.
As a suggestion to you all, Linksys is owned by Cisco, and as a Cisco
employee (an embarrassed one at the moment) I can confirm that customer
satisfaction actually matters to Cisco but apparently not to this
subsidiary. Contact Cisco Customer Advocacy and pitch a bitch, I plan to!
