Building a digital sign network has never been easier. Wether you are setting up a standalone RedPost/Sign, our 19" original, or our 32" or 37" Sign/Kit, plugging a Fit PC2 into an existing monitor or television or even building a Sign on anything that runs Firefox (or a combination thereof) RedPost can help you build a more flexible (and affordable) sign network, reaching your audience with your message.

And don't worry, there's no confusing, hidden pricing scheme involved. You can break the cost down into hardware (see graphic above for pricing); installation (are you going to hire someone or do it yourself? what kind of mount will you use?); maintenance (if anything goes wrong); and software, with prices starting at $15/Sign/month and going down from there.

Do-It-Yourself

You can buy one of our Signs, but anything that runs Firefox can be a Sign. Have an old Mac or PC laying around? Got an LCD display (or *gasp* a CRT)? You’ve got a Sign.

Firefox is available in over 40 languages for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Full system requirements are available here, but generally you need a computer that has:

  • Windows 98 or later, MacOS X 10.2.x or later, or Linux kernel 2.2.14 or later
  • 256 MB memory or greater
  • 1 GB of storage (hard drive or flash-based) or greater

Multimedia functions like YouTube videos, Adobe Flash, QuickTime, etc. will add to the hardware requirements.


Are you the technologically adventurous type?

Here's a little secret: anything that runs Firefox can be turned into a Sign. Have an old computer or laptop lying around? You're halfway there. We have D.I.Y. instructions ready for you.

Or, for the Linux-heads out there, think about installing Wicker: the open-source OS that runs on the RedPost/Sign and RedPost/Box.
