Change Log
beta-2008-06-11
Features:
- added Debian menus back (we had disabled them) so now there's access to all the apps within fluxbox
- started playing with Ubuntu's NetworkManager, it's not fully working yet
- switched to the OpenChrome graphics driver (Flash now works, if you install the plug-in...we can't install it by default because of Adobe's licensing policy forbidding it...Gnash (open source Flash) doesn't work with YouTube...)
- config screens now show the MAC address
- config allows you to use "current connection" if you have a working connection
- added symlinks to /cdrom/redpost_images/ so you can access the images directory when putting the flash drive in a Windows or Mac machines
Bug Fixes:
- 70-persistent-net.rules bug fixed for good
- added more user-friendly error messages in config
- fixed wired interface bug that kept it from working in certain circumstances
- added a network restart to init.php, just in case the network's not working on boot, with error messages
beta-2008-05-19
- fixed "blinky cursor bug" (freeze at boot)
- added sync to cron after boot and every 5 minutes -- helps prevent file corruption
- updated scripts: now ctrl-alt-s will trigger setup when already set up
- removed "eject tray" message at reboot
- other bug fixes
